Divine Design Assessment Process

Better understanding your spiritual gifts is a 3 part process at the Journey: Complete a series of simple assessments, document your findings and draft a 'Divine Design' statement and finally meet with one of the Pastors to discuss the results and identify opportunities for you to use your gifts at the Journey.

When taking the assessment remember, always try to go with your initial response.  Also, try to respond in terms of how you actually live, not how you think you should live. Try to express your own preference and not mirror what you think others expect of you, or even what your home, ministry or job situation demands from you.

If you have questions at any point in the process please contact Pastor Matthew.

Assessment 4 - Evangelistic Styles Assessment

The Evangelistic Styles Assessment has been adapted from Becoming a Contagious Christian By Bill Hybels and Mark Mittelberg and will evaluate your personal evangelistic style across 6 primary styles (confrontive, intellectual, testimonial, interpersonal, invitational and serving).

Step 2 - Develop your Divine Design Statement

Upon completion of the assessments, use the Descriptions Document (which contains the descriptions of Spiritual Gifts, personality styles and evangelical styles to help you better understand your results) and develop your own Divine Design Statement (Click here for template).  To help get you started you can view an example Divine Design statement here.

Step 3 - Schedule an Interview

To schedule an interview email Pastor Matthew.  Your interview will be about an hour long and will provide you with an opportunity to talk about your faith, your Divine Design Statement and opportunities to get involved in groups or serve in various capacities.
