The LORD Is A Warrior

One of the themes throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the theme of the LORD as a warrior. Often we can be uncomfortable with this theme. But it is this role of the LORD as a warrior that we, as fallen, finite creatures, desperately need. The Bible describes the LORD going to battle on behalf of his people to save them from their enemies, both mortal and spiritual. And in Joshua chapter 10, we see God's role as a warrior is intimately tied to his Kingship over his people.
